The Faculty of Cultural Studies has been an independent unit since 2019. However, its traditions date back to the times when the University of Białystok was a branch of the Warsaw University.
Members of the Faculty of Philology (formerly the Faculty of Humanities) and the Faculty of Education (formerly the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology) played a role in establishing the Faculty.
