Faculty of Cultural Studies moves to new location in the 2026/2027 academic year

From the new academic year, classes run by the Faculty of Cultural Studies will take place at a new location – the Humanities Building on the University of Białystok campus. As the admissions process is currently underway, we would like to remind you that all formalities relating to the submission of documents must still be completed at the faculty’s current premises. Detailed information regarding the admissions process can be found on the University’s website and in the IRK system.

Faculty of Cultural Studies at the University of Białystok Open Day

The Faculty of Cultural Studies played an active role in this year’s University of Białystok Open Day. The secondary school students who visited us were able to test their knowledge in a cultural studies quiz, try their hand at cultural puns, and talk about studying at our Faculty – directly with the students who know its day-to-day life best.

Cultural Studies Day 2026

On 17 March 2026, the University Centre for Culture and Science hosted the latest edition of Cultural Studies Day. The auditorium was filled with secondary school students interested in contemporary culture and the ways in which it is studied and interpreted.

Behind a Thousand Broken Memories – an exhibition of works by Kacper Gutowski

On 20 January, the Cultural Studies Exhibition Office presented an exhibition of works by Kacper Gutowski, a third-year student of Cultural Studies. ‘Za Tysiącem Rozbitych Wspomnień’ (Behind a Thousand Broken Memories) is a collection of poetry accompanied by visualisations in the form of photographs and a short film entitled ‘Białe płótno’ (White Canvas).

II International Scientific Conference Weaving Culture: Cultural Narratives in Central and Eastern European Countries - report

On 17-18 October, the second edition of the international scientific conference "Weaving Culture: Cultural Narratives in Central and Eastern European Countries" was held at the Branch of the University of Białystok in Vilnius. The event was attended by researchers, artists and students from Poland, Lithuania and other countries, creating a space for inspiring exchange of ideas, experiences and scientific contacts.
